AGREEMENT TO TERMS
Welcome to MK Lounge on U. By accessing our venue, website, or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our services.
ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MK Lounge on U. By:
- • Visiting our physical venue at 913 U St NW, Washington, DC
- • Using our website or making online reservations
- • Purchasing tickets or services from us
You acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
AGE REQUIREMENTS
MK Lounge on U is strictly a 21+ establishment. You must be at least 21 years of age to:
- • Enter our venue
- • Make reservations or purchase services
- • Consume alcohol or attend events
Valid ID Required: A government-issued photo ID or passport must be presented upon entry. Management reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone unable to provide valid identification.
VENUE RULES & GUEST CONDUCT
By entering MK Lounge on U, you agree to:
Dress Code
- • Upscale attire is required at all times
- • No sportswear, athletic jerseys, excessively baggy clothing, or sandals
- • Management reserves final discretion on appropriate attire
Prohibited Behavior
The following actions will result in immediate removal without refund:
- • Violence, threats, or aggressive behavior toward guests or staff
- • Illegal drug use or possession
- • Harassment, discrimination, or hate speech
- • Excessive intoxication or disorderly conduct
- • Smoking in non-designated areas
- • Unauthorized photography or recording of other guests
Right of Refusal
Management reserves the right to refuse service or entry to any guest at any time for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, safety concerns, or capacity limitations.
RESERVATIONS & PAYMENT TERMS
Reservation Policy
- • All table reservations require a non-refundable deposit
- • Deposits are credited toward your final bill
- • Minimum spend requirements apply to all table reservations
- • Late arrivals beyond 30 minutes may result in forfeiture of reservation
Cancellation Policy
- • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance for deposit refund consideration
- • No-shows or cancellations within 48 hours forfeit the full deposit
- • Special event reservations may have different cancellation policies
Payment Terms
- • A 20% gratuity is automatically added to all table service bills
- • We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and cash
- • All prices are subject to applicable DC sales tax
LIABILITY & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
By entering MK Lounge on U, you acknowledge and agree that:
- • You assume all risks associated with attending a nightlife venue
- • MK Lounge on U is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property
- • You are responsible for monitoring your own alcohol consumption
- • We are not liable for injuries or damages except as required by law
Important: Please drink responsibly. We encourage the use of rideshare services or designated drivers. Never drink and drive.
PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA CONSENT
By entering our venue, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded by MK Lounge on U staff and affiliated media. You grant us the right to use your image or likeness in promotional materials, social media, website, and marketing without compensation.
Guest Photography: While personal photography is permitted, you must respect the privacy of other guests. Recording or photographing others without their consent is prohibited.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on our website and venue materials, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, are the property of MK Lounge on U or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission.
FORCE MAJEURE & VENUE CLOSURE
MK Lounge on U is not liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government orders, public health emergencies, power outages, or other force majeure events. In such cases, deposits may be applied to future reservations or refunded at management's discretion.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION & GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Washington, DC, except where prohibited by law. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
